Whats Covered In This Training

The comprehensive review will take place on the Mon-Wed-Fri ( 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM) over Live Virtual Citirix Web. The course starts on September 18th, 2017 and ends on October 13th, 2017. Students will be fully prepared for the exam after working through all topics in theory with the opportunity to workshop real world problems and solutions

SEP 18, SEP 20 and SEP 22,  MON- WED-FRI

  • The first 30 minutes of this section dive right into a mathematical review of the functions and calculations that you will need to recognize and employ on the Power PE Exam. Follow electrical matrix calculations and complex math functions with step by step instruction demonstrated on the Casio FX 115es. After the review, the remainder of the 4-hour session is dedicated to linear circuits and power math to ensure that every student has a clear understanding of electrical linear math. This mathematical revision and calculator training session is foundation to success in the Electrical PE Power PREP Class and the knowledge gained during this time is the basis for all remaining sections.

SEP 25,  SEP 27, AND SEP 29TH,  MON-WED-FRI

  • Cover more than ten essential topic areas over the course of this 12 hour class. During the first few hours, students will study the theoretical and fundamental implications of measurement and instrumentation through wattmeter calculation, CT/PT calculation, VOM metering, and more. This base knowledge leads into other special application topics that will be present on the Electrical Power PE Exam, including illumination and lightening arrester. The final unit of this Electrical PE Power PREP Class discusses engineering economy and energy demand calculations to fulfill the general power engineering section of the exam. Step by step problem solving and solution sharing provides practice for each area of focus over the course of the day.

CONTINUE-..SEP 25,  SEP 27, AND SEP 29TH,  MON-WED-FRI

  • The third section of the Electrical PE Power PREP Class intensifies with a 12-hour session of varied curriculum. Start with a dive into NEC and NESC codes as the class works through Mike Holt’s visualization NEC 2014 code book. Guided practice ensures that every student will be able to understand code questions, complete appropriate calculations, and fulfill the NEC code problem quickly and correctly on the Power PE Exam. Following coding, the class transitions to circuit analysis of single phase and three phase analysis. Every student will complete per unit calculations and symmetrical calculations, construct phasor diagrams, and follow step by step solution derivation proofs. The last hour is dedicated to battery calculation, VFDs, and relays in relation to power supply, which are essential elements of Electrical Power PE theory.

OCT 2,  OCT 4,  and OCT 6TH , MON-WED-FRI

  • Electrical Power PE transitions from theory to application over the course of this 12-hour Electrical PE Power PREP Class section. Students will learn about the mechanics and design of transformers as well as a variety of AC and DC machines. AC and DC machines are outfitted with unique circuits that require specific equations. Real world problems and realistic questions allow students to apply their knowledge of equivalent circuits and see tangible solutions. The Power PE Exam requires an understanding of AC and DC machines as well as Electromangetic Devices. This Electrical PE Power PREP Class provides ample opportunity to practice learned skills with engaging problems that mimic what will be required on the Power PE Exam.

Oct 9th , Oct 11th and Oct 13th  Mon-Wed-Fri

  • The final 12-hour section of the Electrical PE Power PREP Class finalizes instruction with a discussion of power transmission and distribution. Transmission line models and calculation are explored in addition to voltage drop and voltage regulation concepts. The class will explore transformer connection, power system performance, and power system protection topics through a lengthy discussion that engages all members of the class and utilizes student voice to come to theoretical conclusions.
  • Power system protection is an important theory of Electric Power PE that students will explore through a variety of guided problem solving opportunities and solution checking. At the end of the section, all students will have a clear understanding of power transmission and distribution concepts that will appear on the Power PE Exam.
